James Murphy is Opening a Shop Across from POP!

As many of you know, I have chronicled the move of James Murphy, the ex-frontmant of defunct indie rock/electro-pop band LCD Soundsystem, into a house across the street from POP. The ground floor that formerly housed an art gallery has been covered up with paper for a few months but now word is he is opening a home store in the space! The news of the store comes via a New York Times feature, in which Murphy has shared a few bits of information: The store, to be carved out of the retail space under his Williamsburg apartment, is going to be called House of Good. Like a hip general store he’s going to sell quirky effects that range from socks to Danish candy, plus custom luggage of Murphy’s own design. Oh and they’ll be selling Blue Bottle Coffee. As if I didn’t love you enough already James?!
